CARISSA O'CONNOR, Junior Publicist
Carissa O’Connor adds a creative spunk to the H2 Public Relations team as Junior Publicist. With a unique passion for the lifestyle and hospitality industries, her forward thinking and unprecedented networking skills have already made her a standout in the local public relations industry.
Prior to joining H2PR, Carissa earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications at San Diego State University while developing her initial skills at one of Southern California’s leading PR firms. She has obtained experience in the field of culinary arts as well as San Diego's burgeoning dining industry, working closely with some of San Diego’s most notable award-winning chefs, including famed restaurateur Chef Deborah Scott. Carissa has helped to facilitate the launch of Chef Deborah’s social media platforms, personal branding and the coordination of high profile events such as Celebration for the Critters, the San Diego Food and Wine Festival, as well as other non-profit events.
As the fresh face of H2PR, Carissa has developed an acute sense for spotting emerging industry trends, particularly in the online forum. She excels in managing a variety of social media campaigns for marquee hospitality and luxury lifestyle clients, as well as keeping up to date with the latest electronic and web marketing tactics. She has honed her talents in creative writing and developed an aptitude for the production of TV segments for many of H2’s clientele. Her dedication and enthusiasm, combined with a thriving understanding of both the media and the hospitality, nightlife and fitness landscapes have helped her gain local and national exposure for her clients.
